| Trigun Sapphic Week | Mar 22 | Mar 28 |
This event is about characters who are canonically women! We will no longer be accepting content that focuses on characters who are canonically men.
Trans and Nonbinary characters are included within this requirement, as long as they are either canon trans women (Ex: Elendira) or nonbinary (Ex: Zazie). Works featuring canon women that you headcanon as trans or nonbinary are welcome.
Last year we did allow content of canon male characters which unfortunately ended up taking focus away from the characters this event intended to celebrate. This year we are are trying to be more clear about this distinction, but please do not harass past participants who may have submitted such content.
We know people may not get along or have differing views on certain topics - please do not bring these conflicts into this event.
If conflict does arise during the event, handle it responsibly: communicate privately and maturely. Block if you cannot.
Don’t harass folks, and know there are consequences, positive/negative & fair/unfair, to what you post online.
You can’t change people’s minds or opinions, nor can you control their behaviors or actions. You can control yourself and influence your online experience
What is Trigun Sapphic Week?
An all-week Trigun fandom event dedicated to appreciating, creating, and sharing fanworks & content for Trigun femslash fans. This event is about characters who are canonically women
Why does this event exist?
So much of fandom focuses on male characters and slash. We want to promote further focus on female characters of trigun and femslash relationships.
What does ‘Sapphic’ mean?
Sapphic can be described as ”of, relating to, or being a woman who is sexually or romantically attracted to other women, used especially as an umbrella term for all women who are attracted to women” (dictionary.com) or “an adjective that describes a woman that’s attracted to women, making it an umbrella term that describes queer women who claim attraction towards women. These include lesbians, bisexual women, pansexual women, transexual women, non-binary folks, and other women-loving-women” (Sapphic vs. Lesbian: What’s the Difference? by QueerSapphic).
We recognize that folks may have their own personal definitions or understanding of the term. As long as submissions are on topic (trigun & sapphic focused), participants are allowed to navigate this event in whatever way works best for them!
What content is allowed?
Trans/Nonbinary headcanons of trigun's women
Mature and sexually explicit works when tagged appropriately!
Reader inserts, self-shippers, OCs, Trigun Sonas
Dark content is welcome! (and we ask that participants handle sensitive topics with respect when they are included)
All forms of content creation are allowed: writing, podfic, art, moodboards, playlists, edits, headcanons, imagines, and so on.
What content is NOT allowed?
The following content will NOT be accepted:
Is there a limit or maximum of [x]?
Nope! You can write as many or as few words as you want. You can post however many pieces of art you want.Quality does not matter. If you want, you can post that fic with grammatical errors or that sketch you’ve never finished. Quantity does not define you either - if you post fan art for each day, then that’s awesome! Or if you post just one fic, then that’s awesome too!
